Dash's Dog Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup ripe banana, mashed

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (all natural unsweetened)

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 tsp baking powder

FROSTING - optional

1/2 cup fat free plain greek yogurt

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-heat oven to 350°F

In a large bowl, mix together banana and peanut butter until smooth

Mix in eggs one at a time

Add milk, stir

Add flour and baking powder, mix until fully combined

Pour batter into a greased 6-inch cake pan or small shaped pan (dachshund cake pan pictured)

Bake for 25-30 minutes until cake is cooked through

Optional frosting - mix peanut butter into greek yogurt, refrigerate

If you choose to frost your cake, take frosting out of refrigerator 10 minutes before so frosting can soften

Frost the cake (cake should be fully cooled to room temperature before adding a thin layer of frosting)

Cake pictured below was not frosted. We wrote on it with store bought frosting.
