Purpose & Mission

• Dash Across America is a fun, community-driven project where Dash, the plush dachshund mascot, will travel to all 50 states.

• The mission is to raise awareness for Dachshund rescues while creating a fun interactive and engaging experience for the I Love Dachshunds community.

• The journey will be documented on the I Love Dachshunds Facebook page and blog.

How It Works

Host Responsibilities

Each host receives:
✅ Dash, the plush dachshund mascot
✅ A travel journal to document their experiences
✅ A prepaid poly mailer to send Dash to the next host
✅ A Thank You Card and a Dash Across America Decal

REQUIREMENT: Hosts must have rescued a dachshund.

• Hosts will share the story of their rescued dachshund, which will be featured on The I Love Dachshunds Facebook page and blog.

• The hosts personal story will help raise awareness for dachshund rescues and encourage more adoptions.

Each host must:
📸 Submit a minimum of 3 photos or videos featuring Dash during his one-week visit and share their rescue story of their rescued dachshund.
📝 Write a journal entry about Dash’s visit in his travel book
📬 Mail Dash to the next host using the provided poly mailer

Sign-Up Process

• Hosts can sign up at DachshundsBlog.com

• Required information:

  • Full name

  • Shipping address

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Story of their rescued dachshund(s)

How We Select Hosts

• Rescue dachshund owners or prior rescue owners only.

• Prioritize engaged dachshund lovers & rescue supporters.

• Ensure regional diversity by spreading Dash evenly across states.

• Consider first-come, first-served, but maintain a waitlist if needed.
